BIRTH OF A VISION
In 2000, Sandy Hoth and Nancy Lee moved from Iowa to establish a gallery in the Superior lakeshore village of Port Wing, Wisconsin. The mission of the gallery was to; 1) display their own art, 2) provide a place for local artists to display and sell their art, 3) provide the public access to some of the fine artists of the area. The gallery grew and developed its own unique character by finding and adding new artists each year.
THE FUTURE HOLDS SURPRISES
After twenty remarkable years of connecting artists with their appreciative
customers, a pandemic rocks the world. During this time, we face huge changes in our well-ordered lives, like none we’ve known before. When everything seems so strange and hard, it’s easy to neglect those things that traditionally bring us joy. Art, so essential for our balance and well-being, must survive this difficult time of change. Independent artists, who’ve always met challenges to stay afloat, now find their creative livelihoods in eminent danger.
HENCE THE HOTH LEE ART GALLERY VIRTUAL TOUR
It seems like we need to do something other than simply wait for whatever the new normal will be. Our modern technology provides this opportunity to continue to connect artists with their appreciative public. Customers are invited view the images here and to directly contact the artists of their choice to explore their additional artwork; to just enjoy, or to purchase.
During this period of isolation, the gallery will not be acting as a sales agent for artists. In order to make purchases, you need to contact the artists directly, through the provided contact information. Some of Sandy Hoth photography will be available for online purchase through this website.
