Teri Power was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota but now lives in Wisconsin. She works in both digital and contemporary expression but also explores raw materials representing the places she lives. She has done commercial installations as well as exhibited in regional and national shows. She received her MA in Art Education from the University of Minnesota and since her retirement from teaching in the New Richmond School District she has been “digging” in to her own artwork.

Power received the Wisconsin Art Educator of the year award in 2000 as well as recognition for artwork in several group shows. Her installations are at Barron Clinic in Barron, WI, Arbor Place in Menominee and Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI. She attributes her inspiration to not only her subject matter but also to women who have mentored her along the way, Gabriele Ellertson, Lynn Jermal and Jantje Visscher. As well as the What We Need is Here artist seminar series and the Project Art for Nature organizations.
